Default jl audio 13w7 ported box design

Being the class A/B fan that i am i like the clean sound and smooth response of the w7 line. My plan is to make an enclosure to make this thing sing. But i have one question when i am using the box design software on re audio's site i have ran into something i was hoping a professional could explain it to me so i dont make a tragic mistake. It appears that you can continue to increase an enclosure as long as the port dimensions increase to maintain the same relative tuned frequency.
My question is what keeps you honest how do you know when the box has gotten too large is there a requirement i dont understand that is blazingly obvious.
My thoughts are a box can be soo large that the sub is not going to barely move any air through the ports and not recieve any support from the box. and if it is too small it will create port noise because the air speed will be too high and cause an even different problem?

Please advise.

The mechanical properties of the sub is what determines box size. Don't trust the re calculator it's wrong most of the time

download torre's calculator its real accurate
but honestly ive used that re audio site a few times.. its generally off on "actual" tuning by 4 or 5ish hz

go with like 2 to 2.5 cubes net mid to low30hz tune and a good bit of port area ( 14 to 16" per cube)

From experience... I have quite a bit of experience with w7's and am currently running 2 13w7's on 2k

The box specs that I have found to work best are 2.8 cu ft each after displacement.. for rated power.. then start shrinking as power increases.. w7's are made to play low so I tune to 28-30hz

is it just the picture or does the right side of the box look bigger? and the left sub looks like its mounted closer to the port then the other one?

we call that the Hellen Keller box..each chamber is the same volume but one sub cutout is 3/4" closer to the port than the other.. i was letting my friends dad who was once a master wood worker but has been fighting cancer help me and he cut the holes without thinking the front butts up to one of the sides and doesnt go all the way across
