Being the class A/B fan that i am i like the clean sound and smooth response of the w7 line. My plan is to make an enclosure to make this thing sing. But i have one question when i am using the box design software on re audio's site i have ran into something i was hoping a professional could explain it to me so i dont make a tragic mistake. It appears that you can continue to increase an enclosure as long as the port dimensions increase to maintain the same relative tuned frequency.
My question is what keeps you honest how do you know when the box has gotten too large is there a requirement i dont understand that is blazingly obvious.
My thoughts are a box can be soo large that the sub is not going to barely move any air through the ports and not recieve any support from the box. and if it is too small it will create port noise because the air speed will be too high and cause an even different problem?
