Default AQ hdc310 Box design

Hey guys, I will be building a box for a friend of mine. The dimensions I am looking at are 11x16x15. Which comes out to 1.5 cu ft. I was thinking of tuning to about 35hz. Can anyone recommend box building software. The box will be placed in between 2 front seats in a smaller Toyota pickup. The subwoofer and port will be firing upward. Im worried about the 11 inches I have to work with from seat to seat. Will 11 inches be enough to mount a 10 inch sub? Any ideas, suggestions, links are always appreciated...

11 iches should be sufficient. the larger 10s are right at 11 inches wide from my experience.

if the 15 the height or the depth? id be glad to draw something up for you if youd like.

edit: overall diameter is 10 7/8 so your golden.

the subs is just short of 11" outside diameter...and no u don't have 1.5cu to work with...u have 1.17cu internal BEFORE sub displacement, bracing, or port...simply put, u don't have enough room...use an 8" sub or make the dimensions bigger

11 is the most I can go for width, but the other 2 lengths I can go much bigger. I forgot about the space the subwoofer will take up, thank you for pointing that out. The MAX dimensions I can run are 11x20x19..

I'd would like to learn how to use software and input the subs specs, and come up with something. The box I built for my fi sub was from a cutsheet on fi audio's website. So I didn't learn anything from that...lol I remember using a program called "blaubox" I think waaaaay back in the day, which helped me.

win isd alpha is a good program if your looking to add subs spes and get an idea on frequency response et cetera. but will still be off once its in the vehicle. but it will not give you dimensions. and displacements et cetera. some manula calculations needed, will just help you find what volume and fb will work best with the sub and your ideal response. youll have to subtract port displacement sub displacement wall displacement.. et cetera. the calculator at Subwoofer Enclosure Calculators, Fraction to Decimal, Parallel, Series, Port Length and Volume Calculators is a very good resource to have as well. i always use a combination of paperwork, the12volt, some insight, and a basis from winisd to help me get to the final result.
