I've started construction on my box, it will be sub up port side with a slot port. I had planned on making it about 17^2 of port per cube, but due to me being absent minded during cutting wood and putting the box together, It came out to 3.6cubes net with 20^2 of port per cube (5 wide by 14.5 tall) and putting tuning at 35hz.
I don't know what the consequences of having too much port area would be, I would assume that I would have unloading issues?
I currently have not put the top on the enclosure yet and have a plan in place if I need to reduce the port area, by using 1/2 birch and making the port smaller and reduce the port area to 18^2 of port. The ultimate goal is to hopefully not scrap this piece of wood and the time I have in it and start over.
Goals are daily music box, nothing needed below 32hz, and not going for crazy numbers. just a decent overall box.
Thanks in advance
