Default S Shaped Port?

Hey everyone, long time no see. I've been out of the game for a while but I'm back.

I am getting ready to do my first trunk build and I have a question about the port for the enclosure I am designing. The box has a short depth so an "L" shaped port is not an option due to the mounting depth of the sub I am using. I am wondering if an "S" shaped port would be a suitable alternative, my main concern being that the air displaced by the sub would lose velocity.

Thoughts?

it's not a concern. the air will flow fine even if you are only feeding it a few hundred watts.

Thanks everyone!

One last question...

If I wanted to make the box look more "aggressive" per se by making it look like it has a bigger port than it really is, would this have any effect on the tuning?

For example: My design above has a 2" wide port for 14 sq. in. of port area per cubic foot tuned to 30 Hz. What if I made the port 4" at the mouth and 2" through the rest of the box?

Yes, it would change the tuning alot and make it hard to tune overall
