Default Has anyone used Tantric HDD's in a 4th?

I have heard it's not a good idea to put "strong motor" subs in a 4th. But my HDD 15's seem a bit loose in my 6th. Thinking of redesigning to a 4th using 2.5 sealed per sub and 7.5 in the ported section. Tuned at 50 Hz? or lower. Powered by a Taramps HD8000.

Opinions please.

don't get me wrong here. they pound as is. the lows are amazing. it just lacks that punchy bass (hard rock). did 149.2 in the kick and 158 at the port at 32Hz.

My contention is that SPL is easier to reach at higher Hz. Since most of my music is 30+, I want a higher peak. Maybe 40'ish. I feel this could lead to higher numbers overall.

Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Not sure if a 4th will give you more punch and if those subs even have it in them.

Guy on my team has 12 15's in a 4th, HD's with HDD coils or softparts, don't remember. Was loud on low and high freqs, but wasn't what I would call punchy at all.

And 2.5 for sealed side seems kinda big for a 15...
