Default Single 18 + large box w/ low tune =

Alot of air movement?

I will have 2500ish watts RMS on a single 18. Will 8-9 cu ft @ 25 hz be grounds for some hairtricks? Or simply, alot of air movement?

Thoughts/Opinions with reason please

I'm sure lots of others are going to say this... but it depends on the vehicle and the box placement. Also depends on the sub itself too.

I thought a lot of air movement = hair trick? Aren't the two the same accompmlishment/goal, essentially? Large box, power, + large port should get you some stuff.

I had a single 12" in a small low tuned enclosure that made some good air movement. Only had 600 watts going to it too. It was 1cube at 28hz.

That's really low
What kind of 18 first?
Depends on the sub.
Even 30hz is low.
It's alot of flexing at 25hz but barely any bass.
Plus find what your vehicle likes.
Usually you tune your box 6db below what your highest frequency is on the dash.

I have the females in the truck more then the TL.

More realalistic, 28hz. The truck is a 2dr tahoe. Sub will be a custom Dave 4" coil monster.

Any more quesions. I was going for general rule of thumb.

28 gives it some really good lows and huge
port will be hood.
4" coil mean some good power handling.
Nice
