Default Zv4 12 on saz3500

Planning one running a single Zv4 12 on a saz3500. Wanted to know what the displacement of the zv4 was. Also recommended cubic feet of the box as well as how much port? Thanks.

That might be too much power for just the one sub. If you had two that might be even better.

It should take it like a champ. I was running a Zv3 12" @ .5 on my 5k daily with no problems.

Run proper box specs and non clipped sub should take it no problem. Jacob recommend 2-3 cubes for x and zv4. That much power I would do 2.5 imo.

I have zero problems with people having a shop or other enthusiast do their build. But it's a little disrespectful they take credit for it and/or don't correct people when they assume the owner did the work. Happens all the time.

I had this very setup on strong electrical running .5 nominal to one 12 ZV4 sub. Box was built for two subs ~ 4.5 cubes. Mounted one driver before cutting a hole and mounting the other one, and took all the power that 3500 had @ .5 no sweat. Had to be well into clipping to start smelling coil. Ran it like that for a month before the other sub was installed, now I need more power. I'm shooting for an SAZ-5000 or a NS-1. I'm thinking NS-1 would be more appropriate.

IMO, a 3500 is perfect for one ZV4

I'd run 3 Cubes, minimum of 40 sq inches of port. Tune to 30.
