Default Trunk car - Box Suggestions Please

Ok, Current Setup:
2 Sundown E10 v2 @ 1 Ohm - 2.3 net - 5.5 square t shaped port - tuned to ~ 42 iirc on paper, but since port shares an outside wall and has a 'T' shape it ends up in the high 30's - tried facing forward (unsealed) no good - facing up or back worked best

New enclosure will be for 1 SA 15 @ 1 ohm - considering the normal 3 to 4 cubes - 32 to 34 tuning - 2 4inch aeros, well pvc, but i can flare ends no prob - ports through rear deck (its pretty much all cut away as it sits now) and sub facing rear?
Daily setup - on a MB DSC 1500 - Needs to be wider band, not low end only, since fronts are only CDT 6.5's (not the subs)

Thoughts / Suggestions ? I'm just want louder than the 2 e's, and a little lower.

I could prob fit forward sub and ports up, I was kinda hoping to do external ports to save some trunk space. If the car was newer I would glass the trunk, but 241k makes me not want to spend that kinda money on a perm type enclosure. Not opposed to foaming that SOB in though, for front facing. I just had better luck facing back.
Car is Mitsubishi Mirage 2001 if that matters and I have kids so seat are up a lot, hence rear deck cut.
Thanks for your input!

After closer examination, it appears I may require 3 4" aero, to keep velocity down.
So each needs to be ~ 20" each.
So 4 cubes gross before woof and bracing and 3x external ports, or should I just do 1 larger square?

Ok friends, I've never built ported a enclosure for anything larger than 2 10's. (plenty of sealed though)
I haven't had the enough experience with SA series or 15" ported enclosures or the 1k watts my POS amp produces. (I was a 90's installer/basshead)
I ask brothers in bass, on my power, port size recommendation (prefer 4" pvc or square) and box closer to 4 or 3 cubes?

At your power with rise I would do 3.5-4 net. 3 4" aeros should be enough and will provide a wider band. As far as sub and port location, that all depends on what your car likes

You would also have the room to do a 6 inch aero I'd sstay closer to 3.5 cubic foot after all displacements that sub will be overpowered slightly. 1k daily for any sa is being powered good

Ok, so as it stands I'll do sub back, ports through deck and shoot for 3.5 cubes or so.
I just unsure of the 'real' output of the MB Quart DSC 1500.
I just got a larger alt (> the 90 amp I had) and I am replacing the 4 gauge wiring with 0 gauge Install Bay 0.
If anyone has insight into the realistic power of this amp I would be forever indebted.
Plus, should I stay with 35hz tuning? This needs to be musical up to 80hz or so.
This will out-perform the 2 E 10's, right? (on the same amp)

That amp will do 1400 clean on constant 14.4 ...but real world voltage drop and all more like 1200 RMS @1 ohm ...so yes do 0 guage and do big 3 if you haven't and yes 33 to 35hz tuning should get lower and outperform 2 e 10's..with aeros stay within 9 to 12 square inches of port per cube and it should be happy

Big 3 is done, 0 is tomorrow hopefully.
So that leaves us at 3x 4" pvc ports (i have tons) or a square port.

Aeros are far easier to tune and play w. I have experimented w my old sa15s a lot in my trunk car and also in a jeep gc. In my jetta they liked the bigger box 3.5 per. In the jeep they liked 3 cubes flat better as far as range goes. Even did them in a sealed box at a little over 3 per and was pleasantly surprised with them on notes from the upper 30s up! Whats the car?

I would just do whichever is easier for you to make. If youre going to do the pvc, use 3 of the 4 inch. If youre going to go slot try and get about 15 sq in per cu ft.
