Default Box suggestions for 2 obsidian v3 15"

I should have both subs come Monday so I really need to get on the ball with my box. Thinking 7-7.5 cubes for the pair with around 120 sqin of port tuned around 36ish. Most likely gonna be slot port. Subs and port up in a ford ranger extended cab on a saz-1500v3. Just looking for some input if any of you would do something different. Thanks guys.

I have the v2s but my box is a tad short of 11 cubes so about 3.6 cubes each and im tuned to 29 hz. If you like higher bass id suggest going about 35 or 36 hz like you said because mine lack the higher bass but thats what my mids are for. Just depends on what you like really.

I like the lows like most everyone but I'd like to be able to play into the 40-45 with out it sounding bad. I don't really listen to much that goes into the 20s nothing below 25.

I dont know exactly when I start to roll off but if I listen to normal music the bass just seems lacking(45 or 50 hz plus maybe), but I only listen to decaf for the most part so its not a problem for me. I would say anywhere from 32-36 hz would be a good place to start. Also dont forget to deaden your roof if you havnt yet before you install the box, I have my port on the passenger side and my roof still turns to jello with 2 layers of deadener I can only imagine a port facing up.

I just think if I do subs forward they will be right up against the seat and hurt their performance.

Very possible if youre aiming for loud. On the other hand it would help your back and make the wife happy.

Btw, talk to murphy about some vibraflex if you dont already have deadener. Everyone who has mentioned it says nothing compares to it. Avoid peel and stick on the roof. Its only good for rattle traps.

I would do subs up port up
Port on passenger side
7cf with I like the 120" of port tuned to 35
Those OAS love the lows as it is so they can be tuned a smudge higher and still keep the lows hammering!

Yea I'm probably gonna need some kinda deadener, not sure what I'll get.

That sounds pretty good. If I can find some 6" areos I'd like to do two of them but I probably won't want to spend the money. When I had my 2 oa 12s that box was tuned at 32 and anything about 42 didn't sound good.
