Hey guys I haven't been on here in awhile because I haven't been able to do much with car audio lately but I'm back! I have been saving up some cash and here in the next few months I want to completely replace all the speakers in my mustang because all of the factory amps are fried and I want to put some sundown x 15's in the back seat. I want to keep it under the window line so I don't have to deal with limited visibility. My max measurements are about 19D x 40W X 22H. My main question was what would be the best configuration? Since I'm not doing a wall I have the option of facing the subs up port forward or subs up port up or even subs forward port forward. I was almost thinking subs up port forward would be best because of the ridiculous excursion on these things so they don't have the chance to hit the seats. Also I was thinking about putting a Sundown 3500 for an amp. Too much power? Just right? I'm going to be putting a mechman 270 in and I have a kinetik 1800 under the hood and would put something like a kinetik 3800 in the trunk.
Sorry if i'm breaking any forum rules or anything if so let me know.
Its been too long since I've had woofers in my car and I'm having withdraws.
most of the music I will be playing will be decaf. I'm aiming to slay the lows but still get some good SPL. I've heard 34hz is the highest you really wanna go with these. Thanks guys!
