Default I need a basic design for 1.75-2.25 cube 1x 12" slot port 3/4" MDF

I need a basic ass design for a single 12", 1.75-2.25 cubes ported, tuned to 20-28. Tuned to 32 now, car peaks at 41, which I hate, so I'm trying to get the peak lower. I prefer 25-36hz. Closer to 28-34 though.

In return: I can offer paypal (since I actually have some paypal funds right now) or some cool trades. But I don't need anything fancy. I'll figure out the double baffle/flush mount myself.

Now I'm thinking sub/port up due to sub/port back acting more punchy, and I assume sub up/port back will act the same way. I prefer the longer deeper notes over short punchy ones, and keeping the box in a sub/port up orientation seems to accommodate my preference nicely.

I have 38"x12x"20" to work with. Width, length, height. Although I would love to build a box that fits into the slant on the back seats, if that isn't too hard to do?

Open to any feedback/suggestions as well.

With that small of an enclosure it will not be easy to achieve that tuning with enough port area to promote a wide freq range or much efficiency above actual tuning...

Right now, a single dc lvl 3 d2 (final load is 1.3 though) on a saz1500d v1

I know the port area is too small and port tuning is probably a little high for what I want.

I don't need a cut sheet if it's going to cost more.

I only want response from about 28-36hz though. My car peaks/resonates at 41hz, but anything about 36hz just sort of "hums" so I pretty much hate anything above 36hz.

Are you saying there is no way to get tuning that low at all? I can make the box bigger. I have a lot of room to work with.

1. If it sounds that bad, maybe you should get some deadener? It shouldn't sound bad.

2. I dont think you need a double baffle for 1 12" and 1500 watts. You have no large spans. If you need more volume, I would not worry about it if space is tight.

3. The dimensions you gave give you 4.1 cuft to work with, any reason you want to stay around 1.75-2.25? The more volume, the easier it will be to tune low.

4. You will need your port to run with the longest dimension you gave. Is the 38" from left-right in the car? Would you have room for a port to come out the side?

5. I would highly recommend against a 1"x12" slot port, especially if you plan on bending it, and not flaring it. That will be be very inefficient.

My recommendation would be; if you can get your internal volume to be about 3 cuft after displacement, and put a 6" round port in it at about 33" in length. That would be a nice low box, tuned to about 25-26.

Here's what I came up with, I can do you a larger one of you'd like

As stated, if you go on the larger side 2.5-3cuft, it would be easier to achieve more port area. Imo, even flaring a 1x12 port would still be inefficient. I like to stay below 1:8 width to height ratio
