Default 4th or 6th order for 2000 deville

I'm trying to come up with a nice setup for my 2000 deville. 4th or 6th ported into the cabin through the seat is what I'm hoping for.

I have two hdc3 motors or a single sundown nightshade v2 I could build. Thinking 2-3 10's or something like that. Maybe a single 10 or 12 even.

I'm going to use my aq1200 for now but I am wiling to add more power..

Wondering what motors would work best?

Dimensions are roughly 16h x 34w x 22d or more I'd have to measure again

I wonder if its even worth trying or if I should just do a ported box.

I think I have roughly 6.5 cubes to work with. 8"x7" opening in the arm rest to port through. Possibly a bigger one in the rear deck I think there's a factory sub I can remove

you could really do it however you want. You can have those motors built by PSI or a few builders here, into whatever box you want them to work in. You could build that nightshade too. I'm biased to single sub setups so I would say built nightshde motor but if you are willing to upgrade power... then the HDC3 motors built

Could always do something like this,

4th Order Build for two SA8V2's. Pics inside

And x2 to everything 350zkid mention, id rebuild them into a pair of 10s and go the 4th route firing into the cabin.

That's what I was thinking, that maybe I could even get them built other than stock parts to work better in a 6th.. wonder how big of a sub I could get into a 6th in there

So you would recommend a 4th over a 6th? I'm prolly gonna have to pay someone to design it for me either way. I want it done right. I have bass box pro but I can't really understand it

I'm trying to go as big as possible. I plan on running at least an aq3500 or similar power amp

If I build the hdc3's I definitely want parts other then aq. Maybe sundown parts if they fit

under the carpet on the rear deck is what's called a "package tray".

remove it and put a ported box in the trunk with two 15s firing forward

done.

A 6th is 2 ported enclosures... you don't have enough space for a proper 6th according to your measurements unless you plan to do a couple 8's. A single 12 or 15 in a 4th would do pretty good, as would a pair of 10's in a 4th... as sonic mentioned though, the easiest and probably best route would be 2 15's ported through the deck lid firing forward.

Ill check it out. I havent looked ar the trunk too much yet. Ill definitely do the two sa15's if there's more room than I thought. Was my original plan. I eventually still want to try a bandpass. It should eliminate all trunk rattle too

Ok I have like 17h x 34w x 28d. I am willing to build it that big, however I am not positive yet if it will fit into the trunk opening. It is a nice big opening so I hope so but ill have to make something out of carboard or something to check it.

Sonic, is that thing the big plastic piece that the factory sub is mounted to? I pulled the carpet down and it looks like that whole thing is plastic and could be removed to have a huge opening into the car. I assume thats what you meant. by firing forward you mean fire the subs towards the inside of the car?
