I need soome help guy's. I've never messed around with extended cab trucks or played with a system for them. I just purchased a 01 gmc sierra extended cab. It has what i'm assuming is a prefab. it's a dual 12 down fired sealed box under the rear seats. Currently has some jl audio w1v2's in it on a older jl amp. This was my step father's truck. He bought it before he was deployed on his first tour over seas. It has 80,000 miles, super clean condition all stock besides amp and subs. I Promised him, to respect his wishes. That The truck will not maimed or cut up at all. so No cut through. no seat lift for a bigger box. I have a fairly loud ported setup in my civic with my psi 12's. So i'm not concerned with having to run sealed. It sounds as it is with the JL's, just not loud enough. Who has used,had,installed... etc. sealed down fired setups in a extended cab before? I will be putting in a deck and components in the doors in the stock location this weekend. Then one of my DD m1's for a sub amp. But i'm still undecided on subs. I need opinions for small sealed woofers
? Only sealed I've ever had was two re se 10's in a 95 240sx. and a old school credence kicker sd12 in a 88 honda prelude. They both sounded really good.
I have up to 1500 watts on tap with one m1. can strap 2 for more.
possible subs i'm considering-
psi platform 1's
sundown sd's or sa's
Way open to suggestions. Leaning towards the fi's.
Box is around 1 cube sealed per side. Max mounting depth 7.25 it's a deep mount box.
