Default 4ths/6ths in ext cabs?

Some know I have a regular center ported wall, am plenty happy with it, but was entertaining the possibility of pulling the baffles, and making it a 4th. Only issue is, space. I can fit about 20 cubes back there, current box is 16 cubes.

More of what I am trying to find out is, what worked for you. Port style, ratios, tuning, port area, yada yada yada. Mind you, I would like to keep it 4 15's, which might cause issues unless I run a 1:1 4th. 6th isnt really possible unless I lessen the amount of subs.

Lastly, I will not camper it, I will not bed cover it. If something will work it will work, if not, i will scratch the idea.

Thanks for those who took the time to read that.

edit: reason being, bandwidth right now is about 32-60, would like to have 28-55, but being able to play with authority down to about 26 would be awesome. Currently working on changing a few things internally in my box to see if i can get closer to what Im looking for, and this is the plan C sort of deal if i cant.

I too debated doing this very same thing with my 3 15's in my S-10 ext cab. I asked someone I know quite well that's built some 4th's and was told it was not worth pursuing or trying to build which I think is wrong to say. I dont see why it wouldn't work

Shrink your current port some, that should lower the bandwidth to what you want. Would atleast be easy to try it before rebuilding.

have already tried, lowers bandwidth a bit, but still a heavy drop off. Im next going to shrink internal, since box is a bit on the big side.
