Default Help with tuning and box for Kicker CompVR (C15d 4ohm)

A buddy has 1, it's in really good shape. He wanted some help and here I am. I found this link to specs, but there were no thiele parameters. Should I just go with the larger recomended sealed box?

Overall goal is to get low with good output. He doesn't own the amp yet, so flexible on power. Thanks!

There's manuals for some years posted on kickers website with more detailed specs:

Kicker Product Manuals | KICKER

I don't see that manual for the OS ones with the old Kicker logo though (if that's what you have; there's so many revisions in that line it's ridiculous, lol).

For everyday bumping a medium to larger sealed enclosure should work just fine.

In my experience with CVR's, I've found they tend to like ported boxes a little on the bigger size, and tuning around 35-36 is optimal. Prolly would say 8-12sqin of port per cube.

Haha, I actually have one too. Still in good shape somehow, got it kinda on display in a bookcase. It's from when I was a kid. I might be missing that holder for the rifle too, now I have to look!

Bump. Any other thoughts?

Should I go with the larger sealed box that Kicker recommends (2.7cubic feet), here.
