Default DD 9512 in 4th order HELP

Ive been kicking around the idea of a 4th order.

First, and most importantly, Do the DD 9512's do well in 4th orders?

I'm currently running a ported box tuned to 38 hertz in the trunk of my BMW 530i with only a ski pass through. My idea was to build a 4th order like like the pic I have posted below to do a sort of blow through. What do you all think?

I tried downloading winsid, but I cant use it well. I know a lot of you guys know how to work this program well, any suggestions on front and rear chamber sizes, along with port length and such?

Sub is DD9512 D4 2000rms
Wanting a tune of between 28 and 32 hertz

Thanks in advance
Marv

If you ate going to do a 4th then do a blow through, if you are going to do what you have in the pic, just stay standard ported alignment. The 28-32hz tuning for a 4th order is not going to happen without the sealed side being 5+ cubes to get sealed resonance down that low. Tuning mid to low 40's will play down deep into the 20's with a 3:1 ratio so there really is no need to tune lower than 40.

Im all ears!
Thanks e46, I know absolutely nothing about bandpass enclosures. I don't know what I need to tune it too. I enjoy hitting the low notes more than anything, the higher 45+ notes just hurt my ears and rattle the crap out of my car. I not looking for loud bass, just low bass. Is the 4th order even the right idea for me? Should I stick to a standard ported enclosure?

Thanks

If you want crushing lows and a decent bandwidth in a blow through I'd look into a series tuned 6th order

Honestly, only thing I care about is getting low, and second to that is sound quality. I don't want to hear speaker flex, its my worst nightmare! I don't hear any speaker flex with my ported box in the trunk, I would like to keep it that way. So, a 6th order blow through eh? You have my attention. I take it from your name (E46) that your a BMW owner, or previous owner. So, you probably know my struggles with getting the base from my trunk into the cabin.
Have any ideas on a 6th order? Even with a single sub?

Thanks again

Yeah, that's a 6th. Doing that will allow you to keep tuning low, I'd use aero ports on the rear chamber and fire them forwards into the front chamber and use the ski port cutout as the front chamber port size if at all possible with tuning. Rear chamber 20's tuning, front chamber 40's-50's tuning. My 3 series got the metal behind the seat removed and I did a ported trunk wall tuned at 23hz. Crushed lows all day, metered like crap though...lol

I don't have the specs on this box. I found this pic on some forum a while back.

DD does not recommend a 4th order for the 9500, the only sub they make that is truly recommended for a 4th is the 2500.
