Default 2 AA Avalanche

What's up guys looking for some advice here. Just bought 2 Avalanche motors they aren't here yet but they will be. Issue that I have and most of us have is limited space. This would be going into my daily which currently has 2-SA10's in a 4th order. I have around 3.5-4cuft tops there is a bit more room to go bigger. Below are the options.

Build them as 10's
Build them as 12's
or just build a single 15.

Avalanche 12:
Fs 23 Hz
Vas 80 Liters
Qms 4.36
Qes .39
Qts .358
Znom 4 ohms
Re 2.8 ohms
Mms 197 g
Sd 480 cm^2 - (74.4 sq.in)
Pnom 800 watts
Mounting Depth:
Gasket on - 6 9/16" (6.5625")
Gasket off - 6 11/16" (6.6875")

Avalanche 15:
Qts - .3
Qms - 3.5
Qes - .33
Vas - 300.6 Liters
Fs - 15.7 Hz
Re - 3.2 ohm
Le - 2.4 mH
Xmax - 27mm
800 Watts Rms
Sd 116.09 square inches.
Let me know what you guys would do.

With the space available and the number one goal of this forum (be loud as [email protected]) I'd say go with 2 12s in the biggest box/port you can get away with. A single 15 wont cut it. The sound characteristic of a low distortion sub regarding loudness is deceiving. Some dig it, some don't. Good luck.

2 15's sealed, if you can fit 4 after displacments, 2.2 net would be ideal, but you could go down to 2 and use some polyfill, anwyays.. I ran one in 2.2net, it was my first sub ever. It got really low for what it was, I had in on a arc audio 2500xxk, so 1100 rms. I could bottom it out if I tried, but it soft bottoms so that was no issue. Moved my clothes a little bit playing White Girl by Young Jeezy This was in a Cadillac Eldorado trunk too, so not the easiest car to get loud. For what it was and the power it was on, it was impressive, very nice from 25-50hz.

I later did a ported box, it got louder, but the SQ wasn't as nice and it didnt' seem to get as low, even tuned at 33hz.

These are really low distortion subwoofers, porting them is kinda a waste of the tech in a way. They dont' handle a bunch of power thermally and they dont' lose Bl over stroke, so cutting excursion with a port simply isn't that much of an advantage..

T3mpest this is great informtion a bit late. I already older 2 12" recone .

So here is what i'm thinking. Sub facing the seats, sealing off the trunk. Port up using the old stock sub location. What do you guys think?

Is that your current ride
The '05 Avalanche?
I installed a eD 190v.2 in one of those in the covered bed area sub up and ported into the cabin, and it was great for what it was.
It was ran off of a generic amp that maybe had 6-700 rms.

Ive never had either of those, I do have an XBL^2 motor'd sub though, but not a heavyweight one.
