I've tried sub up port up on drivers side and subs up port forward in the middle. Both worked good for me in an extended cab

From experience with a friends truck 97 Chevrolet extended cab, it did not like subs up with port up on the side. It did very well with subs up port forward in the center on the bottom.

I did subs forward and port up. It's proven to be the loudest.

Subs back port to the drivers side.
