Default A little help please. S10 wall

Hello, I got what I think might be a stupid question. Lol

I am planning to wall my 02 s10. I am also planning to cut my bed to get more "cubes" for my wall.

Question is... How deep can I go into the bed before I hit some kind of funky resistance? Or will there be any? Lol I'm thinking this because the cut through opening will only be about 36w x 11.5h.

So how deep could I go without running into issues?

Is there a formula for something like this?

your adding volume (net cubic ft of air space ) to your wall by cutting a blow thru in to your truck bed to continue your air space ?

your question is how deep can you allow this extra air space to be before it starts acting weird or not as effective as the amount of cubic ft inside you add is ?

draw us a picture. a simple crayon sketch will even help

So your going to wall inside the cab behind the seat and have your box continue on into the bed of the truck through your cutout? Is that what your saying ? And you want to kno how far your box can continue in to your bed but what resistance are u talking about?

This will be attached to my wall kinda like a blow through.

Could I go say 11.5 x 36w x 60d with no issues of dead air spots?

Let me just simplify this and say that when people make bed cuts AND wall... they usually camper top the thing and use it ALL.

I've never seen a blowthrough wall.

Yeah usually but I'm seeing if I can do it this way. Not walk through.
I have a bed cover and don't really want to get a camper. I only plan on 3 18s or 4 15s flat walled.

why bother with the wall? you understand trucks are meant to be able to twist between the cab and the bed right? if you build a wall starting in the cab and continuing into your bed you could possible have issues. you would have better luck building a 4th order blow through below the window line.
