I would venture a guess without knowing the Infinity in question, you may have a hard time pressurizing that size port. That being said, you can always shrink the area with a partial plug.

They are just the 1062w 10" subs
So it might be to big is what you're saying...... damn. I used another 6" port for a sundown 12" z4 and it worked great. That sub does have 3x the xmax though......
If I had the cash I would sell these subs and buy something better/bigger but

That's 9^2 which is an OK # for an aero. I would think it would be OK. How much power?

a jl 500/1v2
I was playing with the Torres box program and saw a 4" port would be better because I could have the port much shorter for my 33hz goal. would a 4" be ok also? how do I find that number?

At 3cu that's only 4.2^2. A 5" port would be 6.5^2 if you can find or make one

Find the Xmax of your infinities and use this to find the minimum amount of port area you need Car Audio - PORT Size Calculations and Formulas for WOOFER and Subwoofer BOXES

For what it's worth, I used a 6" aero for 2 sa 10s and it worked great

the xmax is 13mm http://www.crutchfield.com/S-Zjmn4A0...ity-1062w.html and the xmax on the sa-10's is 19mm.
ill look for a 5" port and ill check out that link jeff.
I never knew how inefficient the jl amps are until earlier.
can you guys recommend me a amp that will be great for these subs on a 4 ohm load for about $240 or less? I don't like it that these subs are dual 4 ohm each. the rms on each sub is 275
