Default Box Design Question

So if i get an SUV I think i want to run 4 15"s on my AQ 2200, i was thinking 4 DD 1515's or like Level 3 15"s.

I was thinking subs up, ports back. But i heard on here that if some subs are closer to the ports than others it can cause problems.

so how could i do that, Could i put like a wall or something in the box or would sub up, port up be better. I dont really want a wall.

But i heard it will cause unloading and hurt the subs closer to the port.

I might do 1 15 or 18 but i havnt decided yet. It all depends on how much money. a 9515/9518 or Level 4 XL 15/18 or Nightshade 15/18 would be sexy as fawk too.

well, it also depends on the SUV too buddy. My 4Runner does best subs up port back, but some Pathfinders (mid 90's) do better subs up port up. Depending on the SUV I would talk to others who have owned the same vehicle and run similar setups. I know if my back hatch is open my sub has a hard time but when its closed it has enough back pressure and a really good flat response. It all depends on the vehicle really, once you get that figured out come ask again and you will get more help on the subject. All in all I would say that subs up port back is your best bet.

In addendum, you can put a wall between the subs so they have thier own independent airspace. It keeps them safer. All cozy in nice little air cubicle of thier own

Well i meant like a loading wall i guess in front of ports.

Also i am looking at early/mid 90's 4 runner jeep cherokee or pathfinder or an extended cab truck. Obviously the extended cab truck will change things.

It all depends if i can sell my truck within the next few weeks. If not ill use the 10" which i should have soon.

well keep us posted and we can help more

as for the vehicle, you will NOT be dissapointed if you go Japanese. I can tell you also from expeirience that cherokees break and my 4Runner has yet to. We used to have a Jeep that was the same year as the 4runner and it was pwned and the 4runner is still going strong, and the jeep had a new motor in it. It just fell apart after a while.

Yeah 4Runners can do any-effin-thing for real. ANYTHING. Off road, on road, I pulled some dude out of a ditch yesterday when he forgot to set his e-brake on his beemer. That was fun. Most action my 4x4 has got since I been in Germany
