Default regular cab tacoma box for Sa12

Max outer dimensions are-

Length- 45.75in
Height- 18.00in
Top Depth- 6.00in
Bottom Depth- 9.00

From the bottom up at the heights of 9.875in (9 7/8) through 13.125in (13 1/8), the box is going to have to be notched in 2.375in (2 3/8). For this space, taking into account the thickness of the wood (3/4 mdf), we would subtract..... approximately .38 ft^3 from our total internal volume. Which i calculated to be 2.535 ft^3 before sub, port, and the "notch" displacement of .38 ft^3

I can get a pic of how behind my seat looks no problem. for the port im just gonna aero port it. not sure how big i need though. if anyone could check my numbers that would be cool. did it with paper and pencil. my macbook is a bish and wont let me use a decent box program.

not asking for anyone to design it. just would like someone to double check my math so i can feel better about building the box. you may if you feel courteous give me an idea of how long to make an aero port to stuff in the box though

Might have been 1.4. Been a long time. Regardless you will have trouble with an aero. Limited area to mount it. Will prob be too close to edges of box. I also wanted to use aero but just couldn't make it work. Reg can truck looks to have more room though

Well idk about having more room. it may, ill post a pic for the hell of it later on so others who run into problems can see whats goin on if anyone ever sees this thread. but its going to be the sketchiest box ive built to date just because the sub will be hugging it close to the seat. we gotta mount the subs low because of the mounting depth to. box will be hatched so mounting too high wont work (shallower mounting depth). If it gets too weird maybe i could mount the port externally. emailed a familiar username psychoacoustics about an adjustable aero port. interested to see how much they are.

Oh and also, a friend of mine said i could use his computer to use torres/bassbox pro so i should be able to dial something in. if not, im gonna keep bugging this forum until someone gives in lol

Just wanted to say thank you to bassman soundking and stssilverado, you guys are awesome for trying to help me out. my mac is an ******* but i figured out how to run bassbox pro using parrallels. weird af, but i only have it for 13 more days. well, im 10 days out from a mens physique bodybuilding competition so ill only have so much time to mess with it but so far i really love bassbox pro. torres is close enough but to me there is no reason a program cant be spot on with tuning and volume. should be straight across math.

anyways, yesterday i whipped up box using bassbox pro, and this is what i got. the only things i would have to do is build the box so where the subs mount on the front rather than on top how bassbox is assuming, it seems? the baffle should be the front, whereas the program is saying to cut the baffle for the top, which wouldnt work. for a single sa12 i allotted roughly 20^2 inch of port area, 2 cubes and 35hz tuning. bassman soundking suggested to me to allow for more like 24-26 though if i remember correctly. which is perhaps a better idea ive been outa the game for a bit but im going to attempt to design something closer to what he is suggesting.

this box utilizes a double ended flared aero port with a diameter of 5 inches for the neck of the tubing. i suppose a 6 inch port would be in the makes for the 24-26 square inches of port area suggested by bassman, aka the bro that has helped me a lot with my designing! too bad i dont have a regular pc i could do box designs for everybody if i did lol

What are the parameters Fb compared to F3? bassbox is showing me two frequencies and im confused which one is the tuning of the box in "open air" conditions or whatever
