Default Sub suggestions for a 2005 single cab f150

I currently have a PSI platform 2 high performance 12 in about 3.5ish cubes gross. Currently running it on a Crescendo Symphony 1500.1 and do not plan on changing or switching amps.
I'm wondering if I should try to do 1 15 (I can make the box slightly longer and increase the airspace) that would handle 1500 rms or should I attempt to do 2 12s (looking at possibly SA-12s) and have them in about the same as the 1 15 which will be about 3.8 gross. I like my current setup, but we all have the addiction. Can add current dimensions in the AM.

I wouldn't do 2 12s or 1 15 in that space. Unless you can get more volume, you might be in the range of maybe 2 10s or 3 8s

Actually the biggest box i can fit would be 4.44 ft^3 gross
Wedge shape
26.5 inches tall
33 inches wide/long
8.5 inches top length
14 inches bottom length

Then you might be able to get away with 2 12s or 1 15 using an aero, but id still be looking at 8s or 10s. 3/4 MDF displacement takes away more than you think. Add motor displacement and port displacement.

2 10s I'd want at least 3.0 net, 3 8s would want around 2.25-2.5 net. Smaller subs in optimal space will generally perform better than the next size up crammed in a box

I've been looking at different manufacturers and most recommend around 3 cubes for 1 ported 15. I've done some calculations and used 4.44 cubes gross minus around .2 cubes for woofer displacement and also around 56 square inches of port. (Soundqubed's design specs helped, may end up going with an HDC3 15 or HDS3 15) They recommend 56 square inches of port and 20 inches length for a 3.5 net cube box.
After subtracting .2 and .64 cubes for both woofer and port displacement I got 3.61 cubes which would be a tuning of around 36 hz which is very close to recommended.
I calculated the 4.44 cubes from a box calc app which subtracted the 3/4 in wood thickness.
Any opinions on my thoughts? I don't really have the room to do 2 10s or 12s or 3 8s because of the setup with the folding center console and a sub would most likely hit that.

3cu for 1 15 ported? That's very much on the small side for most Subs that this forum runs.

If you opt for that particular sub, tuning and box size...expect an extremely peaky box that basically plays 40-50hz.

Unless you can find a small box 15, maybe DC or DSS ethos, or can fit multiples.... I personally wouldn't make a change. Look into the DC lvl 3 and lvl 4. I think that could work

Just checked. Both lv 3 and 4 could work

I may end up doing a DC level 3 at 2 ohms and push around 1100 watts to it. Do you think that would work well?

Wire it to 1ohm. It will handle the power
