Default tc epic 8 t-line

im wanting to do a box design for a pair of tc epic 8in subs

im still just in the "alpha" planing stage (not even prototype yet)

but my question is for the pair is it better to do the two woofers on the same plain sharing the port line or separate the subs to their own port each and share the exiting line or seprate the while time.

this is what i did so far (one half) with shared exiting port.

years back I had a design for a 4th order t line for a dd 1508. I got the design honestly because I wanted something different, but the designer said the sealed section controlled cone before the line. The amount of space I ended up giving up wasn't worth it to me.

How did you calculate the sealed section? I see it looks like you have 1.5 sealed before the line? Did you model this to come up with the sealed section?

ya i got to reading up on more of the t-line theory and a 4th tline may not do as good as just a regular t-line box.

i am wanting to do a box for two 8in epic 8s with around 500watts. i want it to go low and hard. if i can get it to get loud output that would be great but im wanting to slam the lows hard on little power.

what do you guy think will achieve the most output at lower hertz but still be a musical box for daily?
4th?
6th?
t-line?
horn?

and also its a choice between the tc sounds epic 8 or sundown sa-8 (v2 or v3)?

what do you guys think?

I own epic 8's and wouldn't buy them again. SA-8 all day. The sa is a beast driver.

the SA8 and Epic 8 are not in the same category, the SA is that much better.

I would do sa8's
They are jawsome

I tried sa8's in a ported, horn, and tapped horn

You could look into a tapered tline to try a little more cone control if you ever decide to up power

And I looked up reviews on the wicked box and looks to fall off below 30Hz. I'm trying to keep below 30Hz range and have a ground pounder with 8s on less than 500watts.

I metered my setup this weekend on my one 8in in a 1:1 ratio 6th order and did 132.1db on music clamped at 324watts @ 4ohms

Epic 8" does not handle a fosgate 4K if you were wondering.
It actually turns the cone inside out
