Default Pointers For First Attempt Glass'd Dash Pods

I bought some mat resin and hardner, I'm going to attempt my first set of dash speaker pods for some 4" comps and need some pointers.

My main pointer I need is positioning.

1) Should I mount the tweet above the mid or beside it towards the center of the dash?

2) Where should i direct them, center of the seats centered between the dash and seats or more towards the dash?

Doesn't matter as long as it is as close as possable, either that or place them as close to ear level as possable.

aka, within 3 inches of mid-bass driver or greater than 20 inches.

You should direct them and the mid bass driver as close as you can to where your ear would be if you are sitting in the seat that is the key for good sound projection

Edit for spelling

put each one in a sock or some other way to "mock" them up on the dash about where you think you want them, then play with the aiming and location changes, when you find the aiming/location that you think sounds best then go with that.
That way when you do your pods you know that they are aimed/located at the best point possible.

I would say do them in the A pillars as close as possible aimed into the headrests.

We can do a little on and off axis testing til you find your flavor.

This is what I had going with CDT CL 4's and a Tang band until I changed my mind and did some other stuff.

My Tahoe is a guinea pig. Just concepts, test and tune. These are gone now but may return.

Just take it easy on me. I don't have to finish anything in MY ride if I don't want to...lol

Dumping on me offers no assistance to the OP.
