Default yard sale build! 2006 honda accord need ideas!

Doing a trunk build for a friend with a 2006 honda accord...he really wants a zv4....and the only ones left are the 18's....i told him maybe x12 would be better but for $65 more for a zv4 18 is tempting. can i fit this in a 2006 accord? Subs up port back? Sub back, port back? Need suggestions...but i dont have dementions just yet.

Might run into clearance issues with a Zv.4 18", just basing that off my Prelude. Get dimensions before ordering.

Think i should convince him to get the x12? Or two sa 12's?

Yeah 2 Sa 12s would be nice on 2k. ludeman is right though he could have clearance issues. Everytime Ive done a high powered sub up port back in a trunk 2-3 months later i have a trunk leak

Ok, yeah im leaning towards a sub back port back box now...he only has 1600 watts right now...im thinking the 2 sa 12's would do great but he likes the lows so maybe 1 x15 would do good?...but not better than 2 sa 12's i think...those sa's are no joke

Id just go with the SA 12s. More cone area plus they are all around awesome daily woofers IMO. In the right enclosure they can play a wide range of music and get plenty low.

This is excactly what i was thinking, its nice to have that wow factor of a zv4 or the xv2 but for all out performance I'd pick the sa's all day too...thats probably what we will do.

If a 15" is what he want I'd go with a Zv.3 in 3c/f with 6" psp aero port.

In my 2010 accord coupe I've had good results doing forward facing subs and port. Build box to fit trunk lid shape and leave zero gap between box and trunk lid. I did 152 with zv4 12's on a bc5500 and 150 with SA ultra 12's on a m3a. My box drops straight down in the trunk opening n stays right where it sits. Center 8" aero port sticks out flush with the edge of the rear deck. Very little stress on the trunk this way but the windshield lololololol that's a different story. My car flexes harder @150dB than my blazer @160dB! If you haven't heard 160dB it's fvckin insane in comparison to 150. Expect tons of flex and things falling apart.
