Default Fi vs Kicker

I have two Kicker L5's in a 5ft^3 slot ported box. I'm talking to a few guys about trading for a single Fi q18" or a single zv2 15". What is y'alls input?

What are your goals? And im assuming the l5's are 12s?

Both fi and sundown are much better. Assuming you have the space to properly port the q, i would definately trade. The q isnt the "loudest" fi sub, but they sound pretty good and will still have alot of output

I appreciate it man. They're 12's. How much space would the 18 need? Most likely sealed

The fi Q 18 sealed might not be louder than the l5s ported. I'm running a Fi Q as we speak and I had it in a sealed box and it wasn't that loud. In a ported it's a lot louder now, of course.

Yeah makes sense. The L5's are hella loud, just ZERO sound quality, I mean it could be the amp? It's a Kenwood 1800watt...but I'm really digging the q18 because it's a beautiful sub, Fi makes quality equipment, and it's something I've never had before. I drive a Chevy Cobalt, the L5's are in a 5ft^3 box, I could MAYBE squeeze a 5.25ft^3 box in there if I must port the q18. Would that be enough airspace if I polyfill it as well?

5.25 net will still get loud and sound good imo.

I'd go with an SSA Xcon 15 ported instead. I dont like the FI Q at all.

If u drive a tiny cobolt a pair a 12s would be the best option. 1 15 will still get loud but 2 12s should get louder... I wouldn't stuff an 18 into a trunk
