Default What are common walls and how do you calculate box bracing

What is a common wall and how do you figure out how many you have? I'm also trying to figure out how to measure box bracing

I'm using "the ultimate car audio app" to attempt my first box designed myself (anybody use it btw)

A general slot will use 3 walls. Where the port touches three walls of the box. For instance the pic below is 1 wall since it's only using the bottom and not the sides.

My box has a slot port(drivers side) but doesn't make an L, so I believe it would be 2 common wall as it only touches the top/bottom pieces of my box.

0 common walls is a port that is floating, not touching any walls except the 1 its mounted to
1 common wall is like a bottom port, like stealths picture
2 common walls is like an L port but with NO bend, just straight back
3 common walls is your standard L port

The last 2 are just confusing and I know what common walls are

2 common walls would be a center vertical port, using the top and bottom baffles as port walls

3 common walls would be a side slot port, using top, bottom and outside

2 common walls is usually a center port that doesnt bend but a side port as well, with no bends is 2 common walls

and i dont see how i could describe it any simpler than a L slot lol

a side port with no bends is still using top, bottom and side wall so it still counts as 3

only a center straight port can count as two as that is just top and bottom.
