Default RE box question

Need alittle help. in my limited experience i havent dealt with RE subs or paid to much attention to them. And for whatever reason i have 2 friends who each aquired an RE sub. one of them got an SR, and the other an SX.

Lets start with the 15" SR. The guy is probably going to end up giving it its recommended 300w rms unless he just completly ignores me and takes the advice of...lets face it..complete idiots they say he should feed it 600w rms. which id point and laugh @ since its rated for 300w. but anyways back to the point its recommended for 1.5 cubic ft @ 33hz. the vehicle is a ford ranger EXT cab. Wut would be a good size box for it?

and for the 12" SX. no clue wut kind of amp is gonna have for it. and more than likely itll be going into a 71 pinto. any ideas on how big of a box for it? RE recommends 2 cubic ft @ 33hz

its "Ridn" lol

but yeah, those box specs RE gave are good, i was going to get a single 12 box made with 2 cubes also, but 32Hz tuning.

so both should be good.

I had 2 RE SX 12's in a 99 Doge Ram ext cab under the rear seat. My box was under 4 cubes tuned at 33 hz, I think the box was 3.7. Anyhow dont go anything under 4 IMO, as mine didnt really sound as good as they should have although I did have a clean a$$ box custom made for my truck. Honestly, id go like 4.5 to 5, thats what im going to do with the next SX 12's if I get them again...

Oh, for 1 SX12! My fault, for some reason I was thinking 2. Then stay with 2 to 2.5, but 2.5 would be the way to go IMO...

i was figurin 2.5 - 3.

put the SX in a 2.25 cubic ft box tuned to 35hz on 200 rms today and it sounded pretty good. i figure it could handle alittle more volume. moved alot of air even on 200 rms. sucked up alot of the papers around it. which is something my kicker comp 12" same box, same amp wasnt doing lol
