Ive been thinking about starting to make a few pretty custom, prefabricated enclosures to see if there would be a demand for them on the forums/locally. I have a few enclosures in mind that would catch peoples eye and would have specs that would work pretty well for a wide range of subs.
Any and all suggestions etc would be appreciated as far as what you would like to see in the specs and features of the enclosures.
I was thinking about sticking to 10's and 12's unless I get requests for 15's or 8's etc. My first enclosure could work with a pair of 10's or a single 12" I would say..
Specs come to:
-2.2742 cubes before displacement
-33hz tuning (assuming a .12 displacement..obviously a little different with a pair of 10's...but still not much difference)
-35.5 sq inches of port area
^IMO, pretty fair specs for either a 12 or pair of 10's in most cases and tweaking the specs wouldnt be hard
Another one I just finished is for a pair of 10's..
Specs come to:
-1.18 cubes per sub before displacement
-35hz tuning (assuming .11 of displacement per sub for calcs)
-16.15625 sq inches of port area per sub
I think these would appeal to the eye and perform well, which is what most people would be looking for (I think?).
Im also going to put together more simple designs but would want most to be pretty custom and have features most enclosures dont have
