I am stealing an idea off of mistrass. I just got 15's and have 2 inches more height, but will be cutting out some useless sheetmetal and sealing off my trunk. I will have an 8.5 cube box tuned to 32hz with about 99 square inches of port.

I know he has the build log for his altima on caraudio.com, but not sure about on this site.

http://www.caraudio.com/forum/genera...ld-pics-2.html

You are starting out with about 7.9 cubes gross, say about 0.4 for your sub displacement gets you to 7.5, you could do a 14.5 by 6 port which depending around tuning will get you to around 6 cubes net.

Just remember you will need to get the box in the car.

don't know if that helps

I thought about doing it like yours and cutting the rear deck to make it fit and then re-weld it back in.

thanks for the comment

Mtx recommends 2.48 net enclosure per sub(from there website)(W 24xD 17xH 16)Port 2"x14.5.
Now my trunk dimensions are 40w x 26d x 16h so i think i can make this work in my trunk...Right?just by taking 4" off the width and adding it to the depth and then make a 4" port........Can someone help me out with this....PLEASE??lol
I listen to mostly rap and rock(for port tuning)

Which of the following is the sub displacement? That would have to be minused off the 2.4 net volume right?

Vd would be sub displacement,

so around 0.08 cubic ft per sub. seems kind of small for a 15,

If you listen to both rock and rap tune to around 35hz.

After doing some more measuring i was thinking about doing a wedge style enclosure sub baffle flat 16"h and the wedge(angle)will be against the trunk lid,im trying to get the most airspace as possible so i think i will add a aero port....what do you think??

Baffle H16" x 38"W x D(bottom peice)32" x D2(top peice)31" x wedge(angle peice)18"

I played around on 12volts box calculator and it seems to be roughly 9 cubes total....does this sound right

Can someone give me some input and or suggestions and maybe a box design?

Thanks for any advice.
Lonny.
