Default Trying to design a 4th order for a Rockford P3

So I am trying to find out as much info as I can about building a 4th order bandpass. I have built plenty of sealed and slot ports, now I want to try something a little more difficult.

I understand how a 4th order works, but I dont understand how to design them. Right now we are using a P3 in a slot port, and its tuned way too high for our liking. The goal is to build a 4th order that will play good in the lower bass notes such as "Late Night Tip", "Juicebox", etc. However we dont want to obtain a fair amount of SQ and not drown out above the really deep tones.

I am open to any links, suggestions, anything that will help, Im trying to get this designed tonight and built tomorrow.

from what ive read and seen there not hard to mess up and they will sounds like garbage.

if the sealed portion is given the right air space then ran thought a program it will tell u the cut offs and freq curves, it will drop low as hell

mine has a wide freq range from 30hz up to mid 60s. with a tuning of 47hz.

and SQ out a bandpass i dont know how welll that will work there generally ment to be loud and boomy and move huge amounts of air. thats the 5 that ive seen and herd b4.

Im not trying to get McIntosh or Paradigm SQ out of a bandpass lol, I just dont want it to sound like a dying giraffe lol.

That sounds like the freq range im looking for, maybe I should shoot for 47hz. DO you use reccomended specs for volume in each chamber or no?

i didnt do mine i had F3M4 do one and AMI creations do another. from what AMI explained to me about what he did with the air space.

u can go smaller in the sealed portion than recommended since u will have the sub firing into the front ported chamber.

F3M4 design

AMI design

to the ear it would be louder back. the drivers side is best for metering.

dont look like a bad design u just need to get the number between the sealed and ported good.
