Default is this possible?

I'm trying to get an enclosure done for my trunk for 3-sa12's. I want to have the box very tight in there to leave no extra non-used space. so that i can still have a bit of space left for small things in the trunk. the problem is, that right behind my rear seat is 34" wide and 14.5" tall and a depth of 17". after the 17", the trunk then starts to open up and get wider (to like 62") and taller (like 16").

My question is. is it posible to make a box that is smaller on the rear of the box and gets wider (bigger) as it goes to the front?

this is how my box sits now. I had my battery and amps behind the box but moved it all to the spare tire compartment. I cant push this box any further so I have about a foot of unused space back there!

from my experience yes alot of people have boxes that slant back or to the side to pick up that extra cu. ft. you could always incorporate your port into the smaller part!

why dont u try firing forward with 2 12s first

just because u have another 12 doesnt mean it will be louder when its stuck in a tiny trunk space with little air to interact with the cabin

I cant really fold my seats down. I have my son with me a lot and my rear seat gets occupied a lot. I heard foward firing is only really a difference when you can fold the seats down

well yes, that was the idea... but having a car seat kinda changes that

so how does the bass get into the cabin tho, lol
its kind of a waste of money for the sub and new box when u cant get that pressure forward into the cabin

i take my bolted rear seat out when i dont have my girl, you do what you gotta do for bass, plus i dont play it when shes with me

good idea!! but if you cant just remove all the trim panels in your trunk to see exactly how much space there is then its just measuring to see what you have to do you can always kerf the wall of the box but i usually just find a point where i can 45 or angle where i want it and piece it together. might not be a ton of extra space but should give you something.

you could also do what decaf said and do 2 forward firing with port forward too and just move it back a little and seal it off from the trunk!

the only way it gets into the cabin is through the 6x9 holes!! lol.. you can feel a nice breeze if you put your hands there! lol. also, I already bought the 3 sa12's so they are getting used eventually!! lol. its just trying to figure out whats the best way to do it thats the problem.
