Default annother 4th order help

so i just got 12 polk dxi 12's, looking to do a 4th order
i was thinking 15cf sealed, 30cf ported tuned to 35, 480sq" of port
i modeled it in winisd and it seemed to have a large peak around 30hz and dropped down 3db at 40hz and stayed flat after that,
is there a way to get the nice peak i had at 30hz but keep a decent bandwidth?

Tune it higher. 50 or 60hz is good

4th order tuning is centered on the bandwidth which it will reproduce.

When you tune it low {30hz} you are cutting off the efficient bandwidth of the speakers. [efficient bandwidth of most subs is from 30hz to 60hz]

Tuning high still hits the lows because unlike a vented enclosure, the low end is not cut off. [that's why 4th order plays the lows awesome]

ok i will try to model it a bit different, but possibly going for a 6th order, or a dcr? i did one dcr and it played ok, but didnt really have the low end i was looking for, (was first one possibly just not tuned low enough) but how would i go about a decent 6th order? 2:1 for each tuning chamber?

so if i do decide to do a 4th, im on the right track with the 2:1 and i will just have to raise tuning to around 45ish?

What type of 4th order design are you looking for? Will this build be for music or pure SPL? The 2:1 ratio is nothing more than a rule of thumb, the best way is to stick within 1 octave and keep building it in or out until you stop getting louder. The key to any build is efficiency in my eyes.

1 octave would be, sealed chamber 30hz front chamber 60hz. building in or out is as it sounds you just build the loading wall or your sealed chamber in or out.

Ah I see....I'm guessing to tune the sealed portion would be by the volume correct?
