Default Port direction?

So, I have a 1990 toyota camry, and I plan on building a ported enclosure for the trunk and was wondering if the direction of the port affected the sound. What I was thinking of doing is have the subs faceing towards the back and have the actual ports running through my backseat into the cab. Would having the subs and ports facing opposite directions be a bad thing? How would it affect the sound?

I wouldn't suggest doing that, I did that once with some w7s and they were louder in a sealed box than having port opposite direction of the subs. Subs and port facing rear works well, I've heard subs and port firing forward and sealed off from the rest of trunk works good if the back seats fold down but I've never done that. My last set up was subs up and aeroport to the drivers side corner worked pretty well.

Yeah, my problem is that my seats don't fold down, haha. Thanks for the input glad someone responded who's had first hand experience.

I'm not 100% sure yet. I am still in the planning stage, but I am going to completely redo the car and invest a lot more than the car is worth into the sound system, haha. It's going to be my play car. I will probably be running 2000-3000 watts with the amp/s and sub/s just havent decided on a size or brand or how many yet, haha.

Yeah, no kidding, haha. I'm just trying to get as much general information as I can right now...the problem is I keep changing my mind. You have any suggestions? I'm all ears to people who actually want to help.

I've had 3 sets of dc's, two sets of 12s and two 15s and they all got fairly loud and sounded good. First set of dcs were lvl4s with lvl5 coils and two of those on a 3k amp would do good. Lots of people on here like sundown but I've never heard any personally. I have a digital design 9515 now and I like it. Also AudioQue is pretty big but I've never heard them before either so can't say. There's plenty of good subs for sale right now I just can't name to many at the moment I'm kinda tired

Yeah, that is my problem, in my area no one has anything good, haha. So I have never heard any of the higher end brands. Around here people think that alpine is as good as it gets, lol.
