I'm sure everyone has seen the sub enclosures with the aero vents mounted to the outside of the box, and the entire tube is outside, i'm not sure what that type of design is called or if anyone has taken the time to give it a design name but here's my question. If I was to build a aero vented box with the aero inside the box, would it be tuned the same as if I had the vent outside the box or would i decrease the box size by subtracting the area that the vent would take up if it were inside the box? This is the design that I have so far but this design fires the vents into the side panels in the back of my bronco which will be about 10" from the side of the box. But if I was to put those vents on the outside of the box and us 90 degree bends to fire the vents towards the top of my truck the air and freq would produce alot better. Could someone tell me if I have to decrease the box size the amount the vent would take up or just don't worry about it and put the aero's on the outside of the box? Thanks and sorry this was so long..here's my design for those that haven't seen it.
