Im attempting t design an enclosure for 4 fosgate p1 15's. Airspace requirements on them arent that large so it'll fit fairly easily. (2 cu. ft.) So tell me if you guys think im on the right path with this.
The box is 40 wide x 35 deep x 14 tall
Internal volume = 9.329 cu. ft.
Port is slot port running along the bottom. 26 wide x 4 high
so i did 27.5 x 4.75 x 9 length (factored in wood thickness) and came up with .680 cu ft port dispacements. Soooo.
9.329 - .680 = 8.649 total
then 26 * 4= 104. And 104 / 8.649 = 12.02 cu. ft of port area per sq ft.
So i think im on the right track the only thing is i was shooting for a tuning of about 32 hz. Am i close or way off. Thanks in advance for the replies
