Default figuring aeros.

Ok i think im right when i do this but! we will see.

When figuring tuning while using aeros you have to figure out width and diameter obviously but when putting them into your enclosures you have to remember displacement when calculating your box right? so is this why people have ugly ass PVC sticking out of there boxes? did they just forget to figure aero displacement?

Yes, anything in the box you have to figure out the displacement. For displacement of aeros you do (outer diameter/2)^2 * pi * length of aero. People do external aeros for ease of tuning. Usually competitors do aeros out of the box. A lot of louder smaller setups are with external aeros. It's ugly IMO.

lol. 1 width and diameter is the same thing. 2 they do external aeros for better airflow inside the box. no obstructions. They aren't retarded but yes easy tuning too, I guess.

You have to remember to subtract .75" or whatever you wood thickness is from the length because that much of the port isn't in the box. So I got ~.096 cubic feet.

edit: i have a 21x25x17 box and i want 3 -4 inch ports tuned to 48hz.
