Well make a pair of cheap enclosures with identical specs/port size, everything and test 'er out
...just push the sub up, port up one all the way back against the tailgate...and the port back, sub up one a good distance away from the rear...and if you'd like you could also turn your sub up, port back enclosure over so that it's port up, sub forwards...pushed all the way to the back...see if you gain...just a thought
And any combo of those enclosures positionings as well...go nuts
