Default Single 15 Box Design.Any input ?

Okay I'm going to be building a box for my Quad 1.4 La Storm X.2 15"(Essentially the same thing as the TC-3000 or Audiopulse Axis). The box will be 3.5 cubic ft net tuned to 30 hz with either 2 4" aeros or 1 6" aero. My question is should I go with the 1 6" or the 2 4" aeros?

1 6 is better i would say. i did the 2 4's on a singla v2 alpha once an it had way more output wit 1 6 at pretty much the same freq.

A single 6" is better than dual 4".

Mine is the LA Storm X2 which has a shorter coil thats 8 layer aluminum flatwind. I can't really go much bigger and I've been told they like small boxes so 4.5-5 is pretty damn big.

My next question is would it be okay to bend the 6" port? If I can't bend it then I can't have it sealed off into the cabin and the box would have the sub firing into the cabin with the port firing to the side about 5" away from the side of the trunk. The sub would be on the drivers side and the port would be on the passenger.

If you can find 90° elbows that have a smooth inside, then by all means bend it. As far as box volume goes, my TC-3000 liked 3.5ft^3 much better than 4.5ft^3. Both with a 32hz tuning.

Yeah thats what I thought. They seem to model well in Unibox and winISD pretty well with a box ranging from about 3-3.5 cubic ft with a tuning anywhere from 29-33 hz. I personally like 30 hz because I listen to chopped and screwed music. Do you think there would be much of a difference between the 30 and 32 hz tuning? If I can go to 32 then I can make the port 4-5" shorter.

There wouldn't be that big of a difference from just a 2hz change in tuning.

Cool. Also one last question. Since I'm sealing the sub off firing it and the port into the cabin, should I do port on drivers side and sub on passenger side or sub on driver side and port on passenger?
