Default Enclosure Carpeting, Tips?

I've had this enclosure and carpet for well over a month now, finally decided today to give it a shot since my sub from PSI is coming today. It came out decent, I definitely could use some tips on doing better on the edges where carpet meets as well as the sides. So if anyone has some useful tips for next time I would love to hear them.

Also where I cut out the port it looks like a dog chewed on it or something lol. Razer blade was a little sharp and kept trying to bite into the Birch. It was a sterile razer from the hospital I used to work at, they seem to be a tad sharper than normal if thats even possible.

I'll be cleaning the port up before anyone cries too much lol

It's whatever AMI sent me with his DIY kit a while back. It's very very thin.

Hmm not sure what he uses. Looks like felt but not sure.

When using felt it is very hard to vut it right. Too thin without a backing.

as for normal carpet:

Thanks Grim, if felt is hard to cut that may have been my problem. Besides my joints and cutouts it came out very good I think. I watched a few videos before I attempted it I cleaned it up a little around the port and took a black sharpie and traced the edge and it looks pretty good now so I'm pretty happy with it.
