Default fighting with box rise

So i learned a valuable lesson about box rise with my latest build . My question is ..... Do sealed enclosures suffer from the same rise issues as ported boxes ? Also what kind of rise could you expect from a 4th order ? . Looking to get the most out of the equipment .

Your going to have rise no matter what, unless it never moves. More isn't always better. I know the feeling with rise in 2 days I went from .9 to 1ohm reactive to 3.8ohms a pair and power went from 11k to 3400 it's stressful but it's part of the game.

Sealed boxes definarely do have rise, every "box" does.

For a sealed box, when the rise comes, say around 40hz, the subwoofer can still play that frequency at the same db level as other frequencies of the same box that have a lower impedance(if you have flat box setup). Same goes for ported. You don't want to do spl sealed and it dosnt matter it is mandatory for a sealed box otherwise you will have no bass haha.

Ported you only want to worry if you are doing spl burping or spl music with a peak...

I have a ported enclosure and am battling the rise as well. Lower impedance recone is in works too.

The van is just a daily / demo ride for the shop mainly . I just feel im skimping on the potential of the lvl 4's . clamped 1100+ watts for the pair at peak frequency . metered the van 145.5 @ 32 htz . Box seems efficient preforming on 550 watts per sub . We are walling it off soon instead of below window line and id just like to see the full output from the subs .

whats with everybody on this rise kick lately? EVERY box has rise and it changes with fifferent frequencies. Say you have 1ohm nominal. Box tuned for flat response. Meter it at say 42hz then meter it at 36. Check rise on both. I bet money if the box is flat, it will meter the same but rise will be different. Unless your burping in street class where you need all the power you can possible get since your limited on voltage and subs, rise doesnt matter. Unless for some horrible reason you rise to 30 ohms then its not a real issue. Rise controls the subs output. Kind of like a cruise control on a car. Applies gas when it needs(lower ohms) and lets off the gas when it needs(higher ohms) so that way you stay the same speed (dbs) no matter if its a up a hill, down, or flatland.

If said statement is correct this is exactly what i was wanting to know but didnt know how to ask it . So are my subs only seeing 1100 watts , when i clamped thru the different tones that was my peak output from my 3k . I just want the full potential of my subs .
