Default Tuning Frequency in 4 door explorer??

I am running 4 eclipse 8812's in 10 ft3 box tuned to 40 hz. in a 98 Ford Explorer. Looking to build a new box before the frost off competition. Looking for some input from other explorer owners. Should i tune higher or lower?

my 2 door peaks at 52hz. I would guess those four doors are somewhere around 46-50. I would say you are pretty close on your tuning now. Always start with as big of a box as you can and then shrink all while trying to keep your tuning constant. Good luck

I thought they peaked in the upper 40's as well.

Or just tune to 30-32 and have a low end beast! That's what I did in my explorer and LOVE IT! But yea if competiting 40 is probably pretty good.
