Default Box size for 12 inch xl??

Hey im planning a build for my 06 sentra im going with a single 12 inch dc xl d1 and will be running it off of a jbl gto1400.1 @ 2 ohms so it will be getting ~1500 rms
but on DC's website suggested ported eclosure is only 1.5 cubic feet that just doesnt sound right...what would be a more realistic size i was thinking having it at 2.3 cubic feet after port and displacement and have it tuned to ~35hz and 45 degree angles in the corners and rounded edges
does this sound good? wha would you guys do?

DC's specs are right. Although I had my XL 12" in a 2 cube box

With that power, 1.75-2ft^3 will work nicely.

DCs tend to like smaller boxes, I did 5.5 net for (1) LVL4 18 and 6 net for a pair of LVL 3 15s (3 net each). All worked wonderful in those smaller boxes.

33hz is normally a good blend of lows and ouput.
