Default Need Sundown Sub Advise

ive got a 1997 tahoe and im going to be doing a bad A$$ build... my friend has a shop and is about to be a Sundown dealer . i was wanting to go either 2-15s or 4-12s and proly a SAZ2500d amp .. im get n the tahoe 1st week of may and want to no if anyone has any PROVEN setups for this vehicle no 3rd row. and I DO NOT WANT A WALL !!!!! .. thanks for any help and if u decide to share any info pleae give suggestions on ft^3 port area etc... thanks

with all that space i would do atleast 6 12's or 15's!!

my budget only allsow either 2-15s or 4-12 proly sa series... along with the saz2500 amp .. i want something really loud using no more than 4-12s ..

2 18's. I know a guy that has done almost a 154 with 2 18's and 2 SAZ 4500's in a Tahoe close to the year of yours. Even with less power, you should still hit a good number and be loud. His name is "banginhoe" on here

You will only get soo loud andfter voltage drop it wont be what you want it!!

Just save up... I would do atleast 8-10's 6 12's or 6 15's... Other than that its. Waost of space

so do you think i can get in the 150+ catagory with 4-12s and a saz2500 or maybe saz3500 ? im not really going for spl just loud music

also wat kind of box should i use should i use a standard ported or an exotic enclosure like horn or 4th order or some of the others ? al the info is great keep it comin..

do a 4th order on a 3500 and you will get loud... dont hope for a 150 but it will be loud

wat is the advantage of a 4th order over like a horn or even i see a lot of people doing subs up porrt back ?

2 12'a can/should be loud/low enough for loud daily music. Save some money and a bit of cargo space...unless your going for spl or trying to win a pissing contest

I always question logic of people who post things like "I wanna do 4 15's, but want it for sound Q, I am not that worried about spl"

For 12's I have seen many happy in the 2-2.25 per sub, 35-38hz tune

Lots of recent post on sundown lately to reference
