Default 1st BLOWTHREW BUILD

I am going to be helping my friend out with his BLOWTHREW in his 1994 GMC 1500 Ext.cab .. wanting to no wat all is involved and box suggestions we are using 4-SA12s and a SAZ3500 or M3 (DD) amp to push em .. all help will be great including wat materials we will need and wat to watch out for .. thanks

info such as ft^3 for the box ... port area .... box type (4th order / regular port / etc.) / sub orient. / hes willing to use ALL of bed if needed.. wants it to play music not stictly SPL setup ... just a bang n daily ..lol.. thanks again

I'd do a bandpass setup so you can easily fire all of the sound waves into the cab via the port. 4ft^3 sealed and 8ft^3 ported tuned to 48-50hz should do the trick. What kind of dimensions are you working with? I figure he has about 49" or so between the wheel wells, so you're probably going to have to angle the sub baffles inside the box into a V shape to get everything to fit.

yep agree with it all, i personally would do 44-50hz tune but its all up to you

Yeah, just depends on what he's going for. A 44hz tuning would definitely make it more of a low-end monster...great for demos.

thanks for the info... i will post measurements 2moro.. and yes ill def, have to angle them like a V to fit 4-12s......and i want this to be a music vehicle yes id like to c 150+ db but i want it to pound on music 1st & for most ,... so wat should it be tumed to ??

Depends what you mainly listen to. If you mainly listen to Decaf sort of stuff, then a lower tuning will do you good.

Not sure wat DECAF sort of stuff is ?? but i listen to rap music NOOO chopped and screwed or slowed down or BASS added to the music garbage..lol but like ...walk with a waddle / juicebox / young jeezy them kind of LOWS .... so let me no wat u think..
