Default quickest way to gain 1/2"??

whats the best/quickest/most effective way to get an extra 1/2" around a mounting hole??...my xl 10 JUST doesnt fit and i need to gain at most 1/2"...hand sanding it is what i was thinkin but thats gonna take a wile...opinions??...im not gonna be available to comment back until LATER tonite so im just looking for answers...thx

LAage Sanding drum (2 inch diameter or more) on a power drill. Will make quick work of it. Hand sanding will take forever

Draw a circle around the cutout already there. Then take a router and go around run it clock wise inside the circle. Taking off a little at a time. The router should walk itself around the circle and take off maybe a 1/16th. Just do that until you reach the line.

But seriously though if you don't have a router, then just use a jigsaw and keep cutting a blade width off around the entire circle until it fits.
