Default treo ssx

So heres my situation I have a treo ssx 12 that was re-coned to a 15 shown here Treo SSX 15 - 3in coil motor - Car Audio Classifieds. Now I was originally going to put this in a 3.5 to 4 cubic foot box in my trunk tuned to 34 and let it fly but after re-evaluting being that the car is a 1979 chevy malibu I am going to get some crazy trunk rattle if I do that so I think I want to go bandpass through the rear deck which is pretty big. I sent a message to 80 about it and I was sent specs as 1.5 sealed 6 cubes ported tuned at 47 with 80 inches of port I plotted this in bb6 and it shows to be just a peak. What Are others opinion or specs. I mainly listed to rap and I like to hit people in the chest with my bass. Thanks in advance.

i've got my 18" in a 4.5cu. ft box tuned to 35... LOVES it... but going to re-design for 6 cu. ft..... but it should have about 100cu. in of port, not 80 (i guess 80 would work, its just conservative)

Is that ported or bandpass? Im trying to go bandpass. 80 recommend 1.5 sealed 6 cubes ported 80" of port so you say jusst add some more port and build it. Also you got an 18 and I have a 15.

treos don't require massive ports, just look at the specs. also bbp doesn't account for in car response, it's just a tool to give you an idea of the right enclosure.
80 has been doing bp's for awhile, and I have yet to here a bad comment about his designs. why not build it, and see if you like it? mdf is the cheapest part of the build.

I just wanted to build once and be done since this box will have to be built in the trunk and designed as I go for the most part.
