Default One or two 18's....??

I am trying to figure out if i should try and cram my two DD 9518's in the trunk of my 95 town car, or if i should just go with one. I know it would be tons easier to just do one sub, and i would definitely get enough air space. But for some reason i want to throw both of them in there..

I THINK my max dimensions are about 40w, 24h, and 22 or so deep. That gives me roughly 10 cubes. But then the port is also going to take up quite a bit of room unless i can figure out something do some kind of external port. Any ideas?

Im wondering where i should mount the subs if i do happen to go with two 18's. Should i mount the subs facing the rear? Then where should i put the port? I would prefer to fire both the to rear but that isnt going to fit im sure.

Anyone think it would work ok mounting one sub on each side of the box? Like facing the sides of the car. And then the port in the middle of the box facing to the rear or something..

Hmm i just want to see what others think about this. i know most people are just gona say just do the one sub tho.. Whats the minimum air space i could get away with for these two subs? I am going to power them both with a single planet audio rxd2400 @ half ohm. Its more like .8 ohms or something if i recall.

So i dont think the two 18's idea is going to work very well. Ill have like maybe 7 cubes or so after the port is in the box.. Not enough for two 18's....?

What would be the best to get alot of output from a single 18 in the trunk? Will run it off the planet audio rxd2400 @ 1 ohm. I want it to move as much air as i can, get loud and low. Would i want to do a fairly large port?

Im guessing best bet as with most trunk cars is to fire both the sub and port to the rear... Would really like to hear some input on it.

You could run the 18s in less than 10 cubes, you're just gonna need triple the power you have for it to be effective. If you can't get more power just run 1

Thats not going to happen any time soon. I plan to atleast upgrade to a second rxd2400 sometime, but not right now.

The rear deck is already cut out. But its not like i can just fire right into the car like that. Im not sure if you are familiar with the trunk of a town car or not. But the top deck has a big hole cut out already.

Im thinking ill just have to do the single 18. I am thinking of taking the box out of my yukon and cutting it in half. Its for the two 18's. 48x32x23 and i if i cut it in half i can have two boxes, and still be able to put them both back in the yukon later on if i wanted.
