Default New box need ideas.

K guys im working on my box for my nightshade v1 d1 15. Going in the trunk of a 05 cobalt. I'm going to be running it at .5 ohm and decided to go a different route instead of my brz-1700. instead going with a crescendo bc2000. Unless i get a incredible deal on something just as good(doupt it.) So I'm thinking about 3.8 cubes with an interchangeible port for comps and daily. Havnt delt with one before so i dont really know what all will have to be done for the port. Was thinking about sub up port back but i just dont think i'll have enough room for it highth wise. Give me some ideas.

I would do sub and port rear. Interchangeable ports aren't too hard to do.

Yea thats probably the best combo. How do people do interchangeable ports? Do you just unscrew one port and put the other in? Or do you guys use something To keep from having to mess the wood up like that?

I had that exact sub in 3.35 net @ 30 Hz at. 5 ohm on a aq2200 it sounded badass clean and got hella low but it got pretty warm too and I never clipped it. Id stay in the 3.5 range net volume IMO ill draw u up a box when things slow down at work. What are ur Max dimensions and will it be flared Aero port?

I've done a design or two with interchangeable ports, if you need help with it.

Somehow people use bolts and bolt the port in there, I'm not exactly sure what you would use for that.

A sketch would be great. It'll be on a bc2000 at .5 so thats a good compairson. I'm thinking about just a slot port because it's cheaper but i'm not throwing the idea out of an areo port. My max dims are 30 wide 16 tall and 25 deep.

I'd love any help i can get. The actual box i dont have a problem with its just tuning and anything to do with a port lol. I may just go with a port plug instead of a interchangeable port but im not sure.

Use t-nuts for the interchangeable port. Just sealed the flange of the port with weatherstripping that you can get from home depot.

i would try sub back an port to the side, if you don't like that make the box so you can take off panels to do different designs, i got a box now that i have used for i know 2 years an all i did was just change out the baffles for different subs.
